Artistic Statement Excerpts

When it comes to storytelling, I have the instinctual desire for exploration that allows me to find the depths within a character or plot and express them to my fullest ability.

I am also an advocate at heart, so naturally, I like to focus on art that sheds light on social issues or community problems.

I believe collaboration onstage and in the rehearsal room is the key to a cohesive and passionate performance because theatre and entertainment generally rely on community.

  • Onstage experience makes up the majority of my acting career thus far, and I have performed in a variety of roles.

  • While attending Truman State University, I gained the opportunity to explore acting for the camera.

  • Most of my writing happens in the form of screenplays in a recreational, creative appearance, but I am very passionate about my work, especially if I have the opportunity to produce them.

  • I have played the clarinet for 12 years and counting throughout my various years of schooling. I’ve had the opportunity to perform in marching bands, honor bands, and wind symphonies.

  • Whether it be watercolor, acrylic, basic colored pencils or more, I have enjoyed producing visual art throughout my entire life. This activity is a personal, meditative passion of mine.
